Title: AVI File Compression
Post by: GillE on May 02, 2005, 11:01
I've been directed to a smashing little freeware program for editing video called 'VirtualDub' (http://www.virtualdub.org/) (thanks, Sandra :) ) which has only one little fault - the size of the AVI files when it saves an edit.  It only saves in the AVI format, too.

Can anyone tell me how to reduce the size of the saved files and if it's possible to convert them into a more compact format?

Gill

These are free to try, Gill, just to see if they are what you want, but I haven't used them myself.

I think a program called Blaze Media Pro will probably do what you need Gill.
It edits and converts both audio and video files from various formats into most formats that you would want  :)
