Title: Critical Winamp Exploit
Post by: Rodders on January 30, 2006, 15:58
Please be advised that a CRITICAL security flaw has been discovered in Winamp and that no patch exists at the time of writing.

An exploit for this vulnerabilty is already publicly available.  It allows execution of arbitrary code on a user's system when e.g. a malicious website is visited.  The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 5.12, but other versions may also be affected.

Thanks Rod.  I do use Winamp, but presumably it's safe unless one visits iffy websites.
