Title: Anyone heard of this

Has anyone heard of or tried out this....spycatcher express . I've never heard of it myself, it looks impressive (for free  :D ) but you never know.

Nope, never heard of it, but there's an average review here (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1877162,00.asp).

I'm not happy with it Dave.  I didn't like having to re-boot after installation.  No other antispyware has demanded that before.  It's found 9 trojans on my computer but I'm not sure whether to believe it.  I have a bad feeling.....

On Mrs Clive's machine it wiped her desktop clean - and I mean clean!!  All I had was wallpaper.  I did a system restore to get rid of it and mine is going tomorrow too.

Now you know why it's free!   :laugh:  The reboot would probably have been so that it could launch the real time scanning facility (if it has one) on start up.  Spyware Doctor does this too, and I think most of them which have real time scanners will do the same.

er...sorry it's no good , it wasn't meant to be any sort of reccommendation on my part  :shock:  I just stumbled upon it.  Now i know why i hadnt heard of it before.  Its going into the cyber bin along with clives copy  :D
