Do you know what your digital status is? Using a method created by online identity expert Garlik, you can now calculate your digital status to see how you're perceived in the online world.
The system, called QDOS measures an individual's digital status by analysing their popularity, impact, activity and individuality online.
Garlik has analysed tens of millions of digital profiles, providing a status for each of Britain's 45 million adults. To see your digital status, visit QDOS (http://qdos.com/), and enter your name and postcode.
Garlik has launched QDOS to highlight the dangers of disclosing personal information online. ?As events of the last week have graphically demonstrated, everyone has a digital identity whether they like it or not and these identities are valuable and worth protecting,? said Tom Ilube, CEO of Garlik.
An individual's digital status is becoming increasingly important, according to research from Garlik. The company claims 16 per cent of Britons have chosen their new home based on how their prospective neighbours appear online, 12 per cent have researched potential dates prior to meeting them and 20 per cent of Brits have researched a prospective boss before accepting a job.
The QDOS score for celebrities reveals how web-savvy stars are proving more influential online than their old-fashioned counterparts. For example, MySpace user Lily Allen's score (Q8850) thrashes the total scored by Mick Jagger (Q6338).

I'm 38 (I wish!). :) Sue, otoh, is 763 and she has a very low online profile...
Garlik have a more serious side to their operation, tracking online activity and assessing the security implications. The service comes with my ID theft protection.
