No, but I'm more likely to try it than ever install Vista.  One of my brothers bought a new PC which was infected with Vista and I've seen Pentium 2 machines run quicker and more smoothly.  I remember when it was released, one of the IT techies at the college I work at described Vista as the new Windows ME and nothing I have seen, heard or read about it makes me think he was being unfair.

Twelve months on, it appears that Vista is only for those whose new PCs are infected with it, or those who cannot resist playing keep up with the Joneses.

Now that I'm down to 512Mb of memory, I won't be installing Vista. But when Michael has his new CPU, MB and Ram, I hope he will install Vista as we received a copy from a very kind person and I'd like to have a play.

So until then I might try this service pack 3.  ;D

I'm one of the new users of Vista as it came installed in my new PC.

I remember millenium well and I would say vista is a similar frill loaded bloated version of windows.

I have tried installing several programmes which worked very well in XP and have to uninstall them as PC freezes up after they're installed.

Eg Quicktime (alt) and realplayer (alt) resulted in internet explorer from opening and also firefox.

I haven't experimented too much with it for now and might change my mind if it ever improves.
