Hi Guys
Well something is wrong...........
The network doesn't seem to be working.
I have a wired ethernet connection - which has had no problem for sometime now, and all of a sudden the other pc cannot get online, funny thing is it shows it as connected as the network connections and nothing has changed.
An odd thing tho..... on the mcafee firewall it showed the other pc as trying to connect - but it wasn't allowing it. So I clicked on allow but still it won't connect. So I turned off mcafee, and that didn't make any difference.
We are doing a scan on the other computer right now.... on AVG and it says at the top - you may not be protected some components detect an error, do you think that has something to do with it?
Thanks for listening :)
Any idea's as I've searched and I can't find the answer :(

It could be to do with the last windows update. There's a thread on it on here. Have you got Zone Alarm on the affected machine?
-
Just re-read, and you don't seem to have Zone Alarm. Maybe it affects McCaffe as well? :dunno:

ah he has zone alarm...... I'll look at other thread then thanks - it is since last update.

Simon you are a gem!!!! :woot: :D ;)
I put zone alarm on medium and it worked right away!!
Stupid thing I've wasted 2 hours on that thinking it was my pc!
Thank you thank you thank you xxx

I believe Zone Alarm have issued a fix now, which will probably come in the form of an auto-update. If I come across a link, I'll post it. :)

Seems you have to install the latest version of ZA to fix it, Michelle. If I come across anything else, I'll let you know.
