why!!!
-
Because size matters. :)x
Seriously, I have no idea either. :dunno:
-
Because they can? I wouldn't want a room dominated by a TV that size, but I suspect some will, and there's the commercial market of course, offices, TV studios etc.

I read an article on the weekend about the government wanting to put an energy rating on TV's and computers. I think it's a wonderful idea, because since we up graded Michael's computer, and the bigger TV, our electric bill has really gone up.

You have your prioities all wrong MB....turn off heating, air con, anything to do with eating, including lights,no stereos, get all electric use down to the bare bones and the bills should be fine with no interuption to PC....there thats you sorted ;D
-
My previous plasma TV was using a massive 700 watts to run because it used a separate amplifier for the sound. The new one is "only" 300 watts.

why!!!
Why not?? ;D

I haven't a clue on the numbers, but since I've had my plasma, I no longer need central heating in the lounge! :o

That's a deal breaker. ':|
On second thoughts, you don't need cooking facilities for chocolate or fresh fruit.

One for every room, and no more heating bills. ;) Wonder how one would work as an electric blanket, little firm maybe. ;D
