http://usableurl.co.uk/ is an alternative to tinyurl, which could be handy, given that the latter cannot be used on PC Pals.  This is a new site, developed by a member on the IDNet forums, and beta testers are required before the site goes fully live.

Please give the site a try, and if you come across any bugs, report in this thread, which I will direct Paul to.  Non-IDNet customers will need to enter an access password, which is: betatester

It's more useful for very long urls, such as in some links to news stories, but yes, Davy's got the general idea.
