Title: Tony Hart dies at 83

Artist and children's presenter Tony Hart has died, aged 83.

Hart, who lived in Surrey, had suffered from health problems for a number of years, including two strokes. His family said he died peacefully.

How sad. He was a lovely man

Also John Mortimer died on Friday

John Mortimer, Playwright and novelist. Born London, April 21, 1923. Died Chiltern Hills, England, January 16, aged 85.

sad indeed, but not a bad innings really. I guess he was fairly old when I first came across him as a child.

I wondered about that Rik as those programs were already scheduled in the TV listings for tonight in last weeks magazines  ???

Are the BBC arranging for people to die on cue, in order to fit their schedules and improve ratings  :dunno:
