I have a Packard Bell PC which had to be repaired a few weeks ago. Since it came back I keep getting a message saying "mnyui.dll file is linked to missing export mfc42.dll". The thing is that everything seems to be working fine but I just want to get rid of that message.

Right to your problem
Have a look at this (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317404) Microsoft knowledge base article. It seems to suggest the solution to it is to rename duplicate copies of the file.
Hope this helps

Hi Beccy and welcome,
I used to have a Packard Bell computer and remember they used to include Microsoft Money with the preloaded software.
I believe that the error is to do with Microsoft Money loading "money agents" in the background. Uninstalling or Upgrading Microsoft Money might do the trick. I'd uninstall it if you don't use it.
Have a look Here (http://www.computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/5783.html) and Here (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317404) for more info.

EDIT - Looks like Bat69 got here first!

That was quick! You have no idea how impressed I am. I don't use Microsoft Money anyway so I'll just uninstall it and see if it goes away. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
