has anybody upgraded to the new version of AVG version 9.0....i assume it's still free
-
I've not used AVG in such a long time, alas I can't help though I'd assume it was still free, can't recall the last time I worried about viruses.
-
It is free but when you click on the link it takes you to their site and tries to get you to try the trial for the paid for version.
Look carefully and in small type at the bottom of the page theres an option for the free one. Click on that and I think that takes you to another page where you can select either the free one or 2 options for paid ones.
When installing watch out for the bit that wants to change your search engine to the one they have and to install the AVG toolbar, just untick the boxes for them at the appropriate point.

thanks sandra.......

-
In a word, no. But if it suits you, it's fine. :)
-
I like not having to worry about viruses but I'd def. use it on windows
-
I now use the free Microsoft antivirus and find that works better. :D

Hi Den
No wonder Netters is quiet today, we're all over here. ;D
-
At least Dopamine's not here! :D
-
Don't go putting ideas in my head.

At least Dopamine's not here! :D
Talking of which, he's grazing at Netters now. :)
-
:aarrgh: What's gone wrong?
-
Nothing, he grazes when all is well and logs in when it isn't.
-
Waiting to pounce, no doubt. ::)
-
No question. As he's on a non-IDNet ISP, I'll have to find a reason to ban the block.
-
Thats wicked Rik
-
I prefer to think of it as protective, Den. ;D
