I have just changed over routers, reinstated my old one for use of wireless network at home...I thought it would need reconfiguration but everything is fine !!! is this right surely not :dunno:
-
If you hadnt reset it from last time you used it and you are with the same ISP then it would still have the settings in David.
The only difference would be the wireless key, if they both had wi fi :)
-
Thats just it Sandra...I am not with the same isp !!
-
Lots of ISPs dont need a username and password now, as long as the PPPoA or PPPoE is set correctly and the 0,38 is in place they seem to be able to connect as the line is a dedicated one to your phone number I presume.
-
I have just checked my log on my isp and I am no longer online !!! this is very odd :dunno:
-
Who does the router say you are logged into, David? Did you not use it at all when AA were fault finding?
-
No according to the log I am not online now and no connection being logged for 42 minutes
-
Are you sure you've disconnected the other router? ;D
-
Yes its on the table...turned off I know these 2 wires are good but bl;;dy hell
I have done some speed tests and noted my isp comes up as IDNet ?
-
I'll have to leave you in Sandra's capable hands, as I have to be up in the morning.
Night, David.
-
Night Simon...for once its not a problem ;D
-
It's very weird though, David. Any more developments?
-
Morning Simon...No its all working OK ...have not checked my log yet ...Have to do the school run :dunno:
-
As explained on Netters, David, BT have failed to cancel your connection to IDNet.
-
I got worried last night and posted in both....still I dont know if its a good or bad thing...I expect I will suddenly get disconnected later ;D
-
So do I. ;D Probably from both.
-
I always thought it was not technically possible to have simultaneous active broadband connections. :dunno:
-
It's technically possible to have multiple connections, after all, it just requires the BT radius server to direct it to the connection given by the login (which it validates anyway). BT, however, don't like the idea, so stop it unless you pay more money.
-
Or, unless you're name is David. ;D
-
Or they are too busy screwing up WBC. ;)
-
That sounds likely. :)
-
It's a certainty. :)
