Title: Intense Geminid Meteor Shower Peaks Sunday
Post by: sam on December 12, 2009, 23:32
Quote
Late Sunday night is the peak of the year's most prolific annual cosmic fireworks show—the Geminid meteor shower (Geminids picture).

The meteor shower has been growing in intensity in recent decades and should be an even better holiday treat than usual this year, since it's falling in a nearly moonless week.

I went outside to look at the sky last night at about 1.30 but I didn't see anything, even though there were a few slits in the blanket of cloud cover.  At least the dogs (and my carpet) found the excursion beneficial.

A clean one.

Dogs need to go outside at night.  If not, the floor can suffer.
