It doesn't rock my boat, I'm afraid :( .

Now, the Yesterday channel is running The Wartime Kitchen & Garden today and tomorrow morning.  That's much more up my street.

I've got the whole series recorded onto an external HDD :) .  Yesterday is also broadcasting a new documentary called Ration Book Britain featuring Marguerite Patten which I've recorded.  I'll edit it down to watch later when there's nothing else on telly :) .

I wish the book which accompanied The Wartime Kitchen & Garden hadn't gone out of print :( .  I'd love a copy.

Might be worth trying a second hand bookshop, Gill.

featuring Marguerite Patten

Mrs Clive used to be very friendly with her when she first began her teaching career.  Marguerite Patten was considered to be a god and her books considered to be bibles.  She must be ninety if she's a day!   ;D

Try a company called ABE BOOKS (http://www.abebooks.co.uk/?cm_ven=ggl&cm_cat=UK%20corporates&cm_pla=UK%20corporates&cm_ite=abe%20books%20uk) Gill.  I have used them a lot over the years and found then to be very good.  Lona put me on to them.   8-)

Abe books are darn useful, I've gotten lots of good used physics books from there over the years.

Nice tip, Sam :) .  They appear to have the book but when I click to buy it, it comes up as sold!  Still, it looks like a great resource and I'll persevere.

That's because Clive has bought it, and will sell it to you for £20.

I'm not so desperate for the book that I'm willing to splash more than £15 or so plus postage.  I've just transferred the whole TV series onto my iPod - I really love that little machine :) .

I've just ordered the book.  Order Total: £ 14.88 including p&p.  I did say I'd persevere and AbeBooks came up trumps in the end :) .  Thanks for your help, folks.
