Social networking site MySpace, which has enabled many artists to launch their careers, is now helping to pay them back millions of dollars in "lost" royalties for songs and performances.
-
I can't read the article, but I thought bands put their music on MySpace voluntarily?
-
They do, but they retain copyright.
-
So what royalties have they lost?
-
Performance ones, in effect. I'm not sure who is going to be generating the revenue, though.
-
No - I'm very confused by how they will get their "lost" cash.
-
I can only think MySpace will share the advertising revenue with them in a ploy to get more bands to fall under Murdoch's spell.
-
Quite possibly.

It's very Murdoch in style...
