My son recently bought me a 9 LED pocket torch. I hadn't realised LED's were so powerful these days!

I've got a tiny flashlight that came free with a 'Leatherman Fuse' tool. It has only one LED and takes a single AAA battery, but is so bright it'll have your eye out if you're not careful. Brilliant! :)

LED torches are great for 'local' work, but there's still nothing to beat a 6-cell Maglite.

It might result in a few raised eyebrows, walking around with that in your pocket though. ':|

I bought my five-year-old nephew a 3KW lamp for Christmas. He didn't quite know what to make of it at first, but when we switched it on you should have seen his little face light up.
