Good news for fans of telly – SeeSaw’s online catchup TV service has launched a full version in the UK today.
An initial 3,000 hours of recent programmes from the BBC, Channel 4 and Five will be on offer for TV-hungry punters. The service is supported by advertising, so similar to Spotify, there will be 60-second unskippable ads.
A spokesman for SeeSaw has confirmed, however, that there are plans for a premium service where customers can “rent” ad-free programmes for 48 hours to be streamed ad-free.
For now, the content is limited to UK telly, but SeeSaw is in talks with US studios so we could be seeing Stateside content up there before too long…
