Title: Rally driver Jimmy Girvan dies in competition

A driver has been killed in the Colin McRae Forest Stages car rally in Aberfeldy, Perthshire.

The event was cancelled following the death, at about 1245 BST on Saturday, of Jimmy Girvan, 56.

The former Scottish Rally Champion's Subaru Impreza collided with boulders and then crashed into trees at the Griffin section of the course.

wow, just goes to show how dangerous that sport it.

The navigate seems to have gotten out ok though.
