The Brigadier, actor Nicholas Courtney, who appeared in 106 Doctor Who episodes between 1965-1989, has passed away at 81.

Have to be honest, I wouldn't have known him.  I stopped watching Doctor Who after Tom Baker, and until the more recent new series started.
