A bloke was hanging a new door and discovered one of the hinges was missing. So he asked his missus if she'd go down to the D-I-Y store and pick one up.
While she was waiting for the manager to finish dealing with a customer, a beautiful bathroom tap caught her eye.
As soon as the manager was free, she asked him, "How much is that tap please?"
The manager replied, "That's a luxury gold-plated tap and the price is £499 madam."
She exclaimed, "My goodness, that's expensive! It's certainly out of my price range." She then proceeded to describe the hinge that her husband needed.
The manager said that he might have some in stock and went out the back to have a look in the storeroom. After a couple of minutes he yelled, "Did you wanna screw for the hinge madam?"
Mary paused for a moment and then shouted back, "No, but I will for the tap."
