i have an old tecra 8100 laptop but the display has failed after searching the net i tried changing the fl inverter board it worked for a very short while and has failed again can any one advise me on what could be causing these to fail thank you james

Sorry, this isn't my area, but hopefully someone will be along with some ideas in due course.

Just a guess, but have you checked to make sure the hardware is fitted correctly, and that any connecting cables are secure?
