I wonder why anyone would vote for UKIP.  Come to that, I'm not sure why anyone bothers voting anyway.

Well, Gill, as (realistically) my chances of cleansing my country of the scourge of yuppie-led multi party democracy are pretty remote, I have come to the conclusion that I might as well register my disgust of the Oxbridge yuppies with their Colgate smiles who infest Labour, the Conservatives and the b*****ding Lib-Dems!  ;D

Fair enough, but I've become a tad concerned about protest votes since the traditional protest party (Lib Dems) inadvertently got themselves elected.  I bet most people who voted for them did so because they couldn't bring themselves to vote for either of the major parties and were appalled when the cretins ended up in government.
