At one point during a game, the trainer called one of his 9-year old players aside and asked, "Do you understand what co-operation is? What a team is?"
"Yes,sir," replied the little boy.
"Do you understand that what matters is that we win or lose together, as a team?"
The little boy nodded in the affirmative.
"So," the trainer continued, "I'm sure you know, when the referee whistles for a foul, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack him, or call him an a******e. Do you understand all that?"
Again, the little boy nodded.
The coach continued, !"And when I replace you with another boy so that he gets a chance to play, it's not a stupid decision or that I am a total idiot is it?"
"No, sir."
"Good", said the trainer. "Now go over there and explain all that to your parents."
