Eraser is an advanced security tool (for Windows), which allows you to completely remove sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns. Works with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and DOS.
Eraser is FREE software and its source code is released under GNU General Public License.

Yup, I've been using Eraser for a while. A long while, in fact, and I agree it is a very useful free tool. Use with care though, as once it's been 'erased', it's gone for good!

I use East Tech Eraser, when I have secret documents wanting disposed of I put it to highest, beyond Hardware recovery so basically it will NEVER EVER come back as there is no magnetic data of it :heehee:

I believe that is the same as Cyber Scrub, Robo. I tried that one, but it kept crashing and freezing my system. :-\

I must have a long stroke of luck. So far I've got Winamp working fine and Eraser working fine while others struggle with them ;D
