Has anyone else on 56K dialup been having serious problems with the internet over these last couple of days? Being a Fast24 customer, I often have minor problems, but at the moment, no matter whether I'm connected with Fast, or my backups, Telco-GC and Freeserve, things keep grinding completely to a halt.
:aarrgh:

Today has been awful dave, see my thread IE's giving me the hump
should have got it first to post it but there, didn't :D :-*

Hi Michelle. Just read your thread. I suppose in one way it is comforting (abeit cold comfort) when you know you aren't alone. :(
Last week, I took an internet sabbatical. Although things seem OK since I came back home about 15 minutes ago, if it continues to crawl along as it has done, my sabbatical might well be extended. :-\

:o ChorleyDave!
How did you manage to do something like that? :rumad: :sanity:
If I go more than 20 minutes without touching a PC I get the shakes (or is that wine ???) ;D

Me too adept but then I did think it was the wine :D

It's frightening isn't it, just how addictive it is. The Web, I mean as well as the wine! ;D
Checking e-mails and Pals is the first thing I do every morning, and the last thing at night. And when I have been out, the first thing I always do when I get in, is turn on the computer (then the kettle!).

Dave.. yep my 56k has been on a go slow, but seeing your thread has cheered me up no end ;D, I was blaming my ISP.
Tonight has been the fastest it has been for a week now...working at 45.2kbps.

Mine's still slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter!!!!
It says 44kbps but the bytes sent and received are almost stopped! :o
I don't like to keep on, but I just did :P
