Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd let you know that I had been having problems with my Alcatel Speed Touch Modem (provided by Freeserve) and windows ME. The problem was that unless I connected to the internet immediately on start up, I could not connect at all without restarting the PC. I.e if I started my PC up and went to get a cuppa - by the time I got back I couldn't connect and would have to start up again!
I managed to find the latest drivers for windows v2.0.1 at the Alcatel site. http://www.speedtouchdsl.com/support.htm
This seems to have cured the problem and I didn't have to worry about remebering all my internet connection settings - the driver update kept them all in place (thank god!)
Hope this helps anyone with similar problems (or even if you just want the driver update).
Happy New Year
Phil
