Title: Maximum Crossover cable length?
Post by: PhilTheFish on January 20, 2004, 19:47
Hi,

I want to share my internet connection with my PS2 using the internet connection sharing in Windows. Only problem is, my PS2 is 10 metres away from my PC and the maximum length crossover cable I can find is 5 metres. Is this the maximum length it will work over? Or do I need to use a hub or switch or something?

Any advice gratefully received.

Cheers
Phil

I have a 15m one that's getting thrown out end of feb due to a network router and modem for ADSL  ;D can get them up to at least 30m no probs, just look on Ebay

I made one up of about 30m which worked fine. IIRC the maximum length is about 100m.
