For those having trouble removing Zone Alarm Pro (ZAP), I found this in a PC magazine today. It technically applies to ZA, but I think it should also work for the Pro version.
In ZA, disable the 'load-at-boot' option, and restart the PC. From the Start menu, find the ZA folder, right click the Uninstall entry, and select Properties. In the Target field, where the uninstaller 'zauninst.exe' is listed, append a space, followed by '/clean' (without the quotation marks) to the command, and click OK.
Now uninstall ZA using the menu option. Respond Yes, when asked if you want to remove all files, and allow TrueVector to shut down. When complete, reboot. Search for any remaining Zone Labs folders, and delete them. You should now have completely removed ZA from your PC.
Don't forget, you will now no longer have firewall protection on your PC, so install another firewall or at least activate Windows firewall, before you use the Internet again. You may like to refer to our
