Which photoediting software
« on: December 29, 2002, 15:49 »
I need to buy some photoediting software so can anyone make any suggestions.  It doesn't have to do anything fancy.

Not tried this myself, Miltongrove, but CLICK HERE for a free one you could try.  Let us know if it's any good!    :)

There are a number of other free downloads also available HERE.

Personally I use Paint Shop Pro, but I believe it's about £70 to buy.  :(

Let us know how you get on, and welcome to the forum!  We hope you find it useful, and can have some fun as well!   ;D

What exactly are you wanting to use it for? Is it simply retouching photos,or doing some really complicated stuff?

It's only to retouch photos.  I didn't realise that there were free downloads available so my forum membership has paid for itself already.  Thanks for being so quick and helpful.

Glad that your first post was sorted so easily and promptly.
The problem with most programs is that you start off finding something that does exactly what you want then as you get more adventurous you will find that you need a better (ie. usually a more expensive) one  ;)

Hi Miltongrove ... and welcome  ;D

If you look carefully at the cover discs on PC magazines, ( look for things with "Full Product" ) you can often find copies of suitable software, although probably outdated by a version or two, but they will do what you want in most cases.
