It's part of our plan for Global Domination, Terry.   :D

But seriously, haven't a clue, unless it doesn't like your home page being changed from MSN.  ;)
Many thanks to all our members, who have made PC Pals such an outstanding success!   :thumb:

umm no idea!! we dont have any software on here that could do that. after a quick check nothing is odd with our server. microsoft f*ck up? I think so. is your homepage set to the forum. it could be reading htat wrong.. plus we have cookies but thats about it. weird.

solution: turn off that stupid microsoft scanner and use a better one.

better solution: FDISK your HD, install SUSE.

ultimate solution: bomb microsoft headquaters.. muhahahahha

Hi, Hook.

My guess is that you have either SpywareBlaster or Spybot S&D on your system.  Because I never use Internet Explorer (except for when I'm feeling suicidal, couldn't give a sh1t about anything, and so I go and get some Microshaft updates) I usually have them on a PC before I actually go onto the internet.  They "lock" my IE homepage.  There must be an easy setting to unlock IE, but because I hardly ever use it I don't bother.

I only use the  IE6 browser for one site, purely because it is only configured to operate using IE. Hence I have set that site as IE homepage, so when I run "Hijack This" it shows up as a "nasty" on the log checking site.

ignore it in other words.

I've just installed and ran it twice. Once with PC-PALS as home page, and the other not.     It took with me less than three minutes to scan all.

No !  It didn't give me the same result as you terry.    That's strange though !!!

Try to run it again, you may get a different coclusion.     8)

( Or, maybe Sam inactivated the spying software as soon as he saw your post.        )     (Just kidding)
