Can anyone recommend a cheap, pay-as-you-go dial up service? My back up dial up is discontinuing as from the end of this month. Ideally, the new one should be free of any complex registration requirements.

Plusnet is pretty good too. All you have to do is check your e-mail box once every few months but they will send you a reminder anyway.

Yeah, I looked at that one myself, John, but really I could do with one that I can send e-mails with. I realise you can with Freewire, but it seemed like quite a complicated set up procedure, and I don't want to risk downloading one of those dial up configuration things which takes over and brands everything. Maybe I've not looked into it fully enough.

Clive, yes, I have used PlusNet previously. Might be worth a look.
