Interesting suggestion but I doubt we have enough posts of those nature to support the forums. They quite nicely fit into:
General Hardware Help and Tips, Tricks & Tweaks

Though I think we should include these titles in the forum description of the above mentioned forums. Maybe at the least we could start specific threads on these topics and see if they generate lots of posts.

If you have specific articles you want to post on those subjects, we could always make them Sticky Topics in the headings Sam mentioned, Mac, and as he also said, include them in the forum description.

I'm off out in a minute, so I'll do the forum descriptions later, if that's what we want.

See you when you get back!

Sounds good chaps,

If we take a look at disk maintenance, drive diagnostics, S.M.A.R.T., etc.

Tuning is a bit more to the point, tweaking is not a good descriptive.

Temperature control and oher BIOS settings seems in order for the more advanced users.

Thanks Simon. Should really read Maintenance though!

Need to have editing rights to make additions and update when necessary and also to be able to move articles there.

Mac,

If you have anything you want to suggest moving please do so and we will take care of that.

As for editiing rights, I suggest that you just follow it up with a second post (it will help the post count! :-) ).

The only way we can give you these rights is to make you some level of moderator and I'd suggest that it would be a little premature to do this since you haven't been around for long yet. It is nothing personal we just don't want to have a load of moderators who are here for a for a short while and then disapear. Sorry it has to be this way. Anyway anything you need doing with the forum please just tell one of us admins and we will get on the case asap.

Thanks for your enthusiam! :-)
