PC won't start up properly

Help,

My PC starts up with nothing but a multicoloured screen.  I can start it in safe mode and even get on the internet in this mode.  Any ideas

Hi and  :welcome:

You can get on the Internet in safe mode?  That's very surprising, and also very dangerous, as your anti-virus and firewall probably won't be active.

As for your problem, it sounds like your graphics card drivers may need replacing.  Do you have a CD, or do you know the make and model of your graphics card?  If you go into Device Manager (Right click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager), your graphics card should be listed there, but may have a  :?:  or a  :!:  beside it, indicating a problem.
