No audio on DVD's
« on: December 24, 2008, 12:32 »
We have been trying to burn DVDs all day. Michael tried about three times without success. We are using Nero, and his attempts resulted in the disc not having anything on them. I have just finished burning 4 half hour episodes using Nero Vision, and it looks fabulous, but no audio??

This is meant to be a present for a couple of his friends and it's 11.30pm Christmas eve. So I'm guessing that this isn't going to happen, but I would love to get at least some of them done for him. So please any help would be greatly appreciated.   :)

Sorry, MB, I've always found DVD burning to be hit and miss myself, so I'll be no help.  :(

I had that recently when burning an avi to a standard dvd using neros vision express.
It turned out to have a strange audio codec that nero must not have been able to convert.
I had to convert it to a different format using another program and then used nero vision to make a DVD and that worked ok afterwards.

How do I find out what audio codec it is, and what to change it to and using what program?

There certainly a lot to choose from.......

I think it maybe WMP that's hit and miss, as it played fine in VLC player.  :dunno:
