Dell Sprint
« on: June 09, 2010, 12:48 »
Can't do links, but anyone got any opinions on the Dell Sprint?  I know it's Andriod, but looks quite configurable, and less Googleised than some Android phones I've seen.

I've not tried it, but I think you should really bite the bullet and go for an iPhone, there may be a few floating around with the release of v4.

Less Googlised means having functions such as Calendar and Tasks which don't require a Google account, Sam.  It's a bit like saying users can only access the forum using Chrome.  I don't mind the Google presence, but I want the option not to use it.

The Dell is blackballed.  ;)

You will need to have a google account to use the software market place anyway. I just don't see the issue personally... you are either giving your details to one provider or another be it google, apple or RIM... I dunno. T'other one (who has one of these phones) thinks you might not need one to use the calendar though, but she does.

There are probably other calendar apps you can download.  t think I'll stick to the BlackBerry for now.  Just got the urge for a new toy.
