Topic: New FF 4

How do you roll back FF to the previous version.
 
Unfortunately, being lazy, I had it set up that updates just downloaded and installed automatically. And today I have the new FF 4 and I don't like it.

I've had a quick look at the control panel with uninstall programs, but surely I don't have to go that far, do I.

Can't I just roll it back some how??

I could be wrong, as it's between different versions, but I would have thought you could still download the previous version, and install it over the top of the current version, Kate. 

What don't you like about FF4?  Would it not be worth customising it to your liking, and giving it a fair run?

Mrs Clive also hated FF4 and did a system restore to roll back to the previous version.  But I think she's switched to Chrome now.  Om nom nom...

Make her a standard user, Clive, and lock down the admin account.

Oh she has her own machine.  She hated Avant even more than you guys did.     Gosh... Avant.. I remember that.

I HATE IT!!!!!
 Everything has moved, I tried to open a new tab, which I do all the time, but no it's changed and it is now a new f*cking window!!!!!!

I have to find how to refresh a page, which I need for auctions, my bookmarks which I use constantly, is now a navigation maze.

I HATE IT!

So, please how do I go back to what I'm used to and without it changing again.

I did adjust the download and update auto thingy.

I like FF4.

dont know what you mean about the tabs?  I can open a new one.theres a plus sign next to the already opend tab,just click that and you have a new one.

but yes   just fiddle about and customise it

Whats all the fuss about? Firefox are discontinuing FF3.5 and will no longer support it as FF5 comes out this month (and you thought MS were bad).

I've been using firefox 4 for ages, albeit with a ubuntu addon,  and I've not noticed any real change.

Mrs Clive just couldn't use it after the reincarnation because everything had changed.  We did a system restore but she decided that it couldn't be trusted and installed Chrome instead.

Like new Windows versions, I'm sure FF4 could be customised to closely resemble the old versions.
