Review: Samsung Galaxy S III
« on: June 04, 2012, 13:26 »
Samsung’s place at the smartphone industy’s top table is well earned. Its last two flagship handsets have been exemplary, and it has slowly but surely built up a fanbase only Apple can claim to rival.

The Samsung Galaxy S III, as the firm’s biggest launch yet, has a lot to live up to, and this is one of those rare devices that actually lives up to the hype.

The Galaxy S III ups the ante in a number of significant areas, none more so than its display. It’s 4.8in in size, up half an inch from the 4.3in of the Samsung Galaxy S II, it matches our current A-List champion (the HTC One X) pixel for pixel with an HD resolution of 720 x 1,280, and our first impressions are that it’s breathtakingly gorgeous.

Sounds good but I really don't see the point with this constant upgrading. This phone won't really be that game changer they want. It's an incremental upgrade really.

Indeed.  I think I've invested too much in Apple to switch now anyway.

I agree with you, once you buy into Apple, it makes no sense to change, the cost is prohibitive.

My galaxy s2 is brilliant and takes outstanding photo's with it's 8Mp camera. Also done away with my aspire notebook as the GS2 is lightening quick  My OH has an apple and it's so slow compared.

It's outrageous! All you can think of is a new phone while I've lost the charger for mine and it's going to cost me £1.50 for a new one!  Won't someone spare a thought for us poor pensioners?   :bawl:

How can you lose a charger the size of a brick?  ::)

Well, I certainly wouldn't leave some dodgy £1.50 charger from China plugged in unattended!  :)x

The boot of the Jag was the last place it was seen and I've conducted a thorough search to no avail.  We took it to London over the weekend but I don't remember seeing the charger at my son's apartment.  Mrs Clive is very annoyed with me for being stupid enough to lose it.  Thank goodness for Amazon!
