Topic: Ace Mega Codec Pack

Hello dears,
   
   Not knowing what it is as a program, I wanted - by curiousity to install "Ace Mega Codec Pack 5.91". After a while I removed it. I noticed that "Windows Media player" and "RealOne Player" don't work any more. So, I reinstalled them again. Only "Windows Media Player" works but not the other. I reinstalled "Ace Mega..." it did not help. Still "RealOne Player" doesn't work.

   Any Idea?

   And can you please, if you know all the advantages of this "Ace Mega..." tell me if it's worthy to use and keep it? Because it has also "Antivirus system and other things.

In most situations, you do not need to install codec/filter packs and certainly not every codec/filter that comes with these packs. In fact, you may run into problems if you install too many codec/filters on your computer. It is Highly recommended that you only install the codec/filters that you absolutely need.

Thes packs contain codec and drivers that replace windows codec and drivers and when you removed them you dod not replace the windows codecs or drivers

ProXP - component of ProXP version

So basicly what you have done is installed all these components without the need or the understanding of what you were doing,

You may have to reinstall windows to correct all the faults

Always a pleasure my friend, if my reply was a bit terse then I apologise to you but you must admit that it was informative and helpful.   The time to ask questions about software you are going to install on your computer is before you install it not after, it is easier to help people before the damage is done, If I had replied just reinstall Windows you may not have understood the problem that can be caused by the simple installing of software and be tempted to install it again
