Peer to Peer Networks
« on: September 03, 2003, 11:07 »
This is infuriating me. We have a simple peer to peer network with 6 computers. Easy to set up and operate, so far so good. But why do the passwords for each machine keep expiring meaning I have to go raound each machine and reset the passwords around once a month. (The passwords are set to null by the way.)I have tried uncheching the "users must enter a name and password to use this computer", but that seems to block access. Any ideas? :(

Hi OldDavid, and

I'm sure one of our techies will be able to find an answer for you, but in the meantime, it may help them if you could tell us what Operating System(s) your network is running on.
Many thanks to all our members, who have made PC Pals such an outstanding success!   :thumb:

Yes, the following info would be handy:

Client PC O/S's.
Client logon service.
Server O/S if there is a file server on the network.
