Wont Eject
« on: November 05, 2002, 07:38 »
Small problem for the techies and a frustrating one for me.
On my liteon cd rewriter (40x12x48)when I use incd to copy files, when I have finished it wont eject on the front button I have to delve in the control panel, any ideas would be greatly received.

Hook 8)star

An afterthought!! with no disk no problem after burning, problem.

Usually after burning, an alert should appear telling you that the cd burn has been done correctly, after clicking ok, the cd draw should eject on its own.  I haven't used InCD, but that happens with every other burn software i have used.

I don't use Nero myself Hook, but on all the installations I've done for other people, In-CD has behaved like this for me too.

Perhaps thats just the way it works ???

Im currently using WinOnCD 3.8  It isn't free, but it is a great program for burning cd's.. I think there is a free trial, if you want to test it out. http://www.roxio.com

Ah that would explain it,I just remembered that when I tried to install it,for some reason possibly my PC, my PC crashes and I have had to uninstall it.So if I had managed to run it fully it would probably be ok  :-*

OOOOOH! Thats a lot dearer than mine cost  ;)
But I think it explains why my PC crashes when I try to install it :-

Minimum requirements: Pentium 400MHz PC; Windows 98/XP; 64Mb Ram; 300Mb hard disk space (2Gb for full VCD authoring facilities); CD or DVD burner.

Definitely dont have 2 gig of free space and I am only running a 450.So presumably it doesnt like my specifications  :o

Dunno where I picked up this bit of info now, but I'm given to understand that it's not a brilliant idea to have two different CD burning programs on your system at the same time, as they can get a bit stroppy with each other.  Anyone else heard of this phenomenon?

Sandra/ couldn't copy your last pic but near enough  ;D

  vorsprung durch technik Verbesserung.

Anyway Im happy with nero and its not that I copy many files to cd and I never burn CD's so its not a great problem.

I have heard of that exact thing Rodders, but I have a few friends who have a few progs on and seem to do ok with it.
With mine I usually use Nero or DiscJuggler and as long as I just Burn CDs and do nothing else usually I am ok.
If I am on line or doing something off line it doesnt seem to like it but  I think thats down to lack of processing power in my old PC  :-*
