Serial Ata HD problem.

hi, i have a problem to be solved. i want to format and install xp onmy Sata hd seagate 120gb. i'm trying but when starting with windows xp setup cd rom doesn't recognize the hd.i tried copying the promise fasttrak 378 driver on a floppy but nothing..
any ideas?

Usual way is:
1. Ensure Bios is set to have the SATA enabled.
2. On windows setup you press F6 and then S to add in the drivers you have on floppy disc
3. Carry on installing XP as normal as the drive should now be recognised.

Typical problems:
1.Bios doesn't support the SATA properly necessitating a bios flash.

Technically it did meet the spec.
