Hey!......I've just noticed my mouse is slower than usual..is this a side effect of plugging modem into serial hub?

Yes thats fine thanks, I assume that its a Time Computer as I had a 450 with a PAG 2130 board and similar specs.
I had a problem with a USB modem on mine, some kind of conflict with the Fujitsu adsl modem and the Via chipsets.
I had to fit a seperate PCI usb card to get it to work.
If its working ok now though thats not likely to be your problem.
It may be a good idea to download and install the latest Via 4 in 1 drivers from here though :

Okay....downloaded and installed (I think).....I followed all the instructions, created a restore point, and re-started when it told me to. ;D  Sandra???.....can I have your dog please?....lol  He/She just looks so quiet......bet you can't say no to him/her........lol  I have a Hungarian Puli (affectionatly known as Puli Monster, his name is Blue)......he's a nutter ::) wonder where he gets that from :not:

I'm off to play with my printer now :thanks: for all your help

Unfortunately he wasnt mine I just used to look after him lots and lots then his owner gave him away 13 months ago and wouldnt let me have him in case she got upset if she bumped into him  :'(

Awe :'( I don't know what to say except if it was my dog then I'd be glad to bump into him especially if I knew he was going to a good home.....why not get yourself a puppy?

Hiya,

Well I'm very pleased to report that everyting is fine  ;D :banana:  I just couldn't rest until it was soted and  :thanks: to you guys, it is  :thumb:.

I have another Q ??? now..lol  Okay this serial hub....can I overload it?  I have a new digi cam and had the same problem with it when I tried to install it (before self powered hub, 'puter froze)  Now if I plug it into hub will it over load it or cause any other probs?  I have a spare USB port on 'puter now so should I plug it into that?

Moth? :mg: I'm having an identity crisis now.......no wonder I've got a headache  :brick:

Run everything you can from the powered hub Butterfly.
It supplies 500mA to each port, the same as your PC does but with having its own power supply will be better regulated and reliable  :)

Now I'm in the mood for doing something  :adept:.......I'd like to know how to make .gif images....i.e. are there any freebies out there I can use to make them?........WARNING!!!.....be prepared for lots of cry's for  :help:

Try this little freebie, I think it can make gifs but I havent used it myself.

If it doesnt I am sure that someone else wil know of some free ones.
I use gif animator in paint shop pro and ulead gif animator but those arent free ones.
A few of pals members use Swish or more recently Swish Max for the sigs that a lot of the more sophisticated of us use on here  :)
