The winners of the Internet Service Providers Association 2006 awards have been named.

Now in their 8th year, the awards look at the performance of ISPs across a range of categories, aiming to "celebrate innovation and best practice" in the internet industry.

The award for Best Dial-up ISP went to BISCit.

Best Light Consumer Broadband to UKOnline.

Best Heavy Consumer Broadband to Madasafish.

Best Sumo Consumer Broadband to Be Unlimited.

Best Portal to Tiscali.

Best Consumer ISP to Wanadoo.

The Internet Watch Foundation award for developments in online safety went to the Virtual Global Taskforce.

These look good, anyone have any dealing with them?  8mb broadband connection for 11.99 per month - and they will supply a wireless router free as far as I can make out.

The charge may be £11.99 at the outset, but it rises to £17.99 after 6 months.
